Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead studies and design for all solar projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and standards.
  • Technology Advancements: Identify opportunities for technology advancements to optimize project performance and efficiency.
  • System Integration: Manage system integration, ensuring seamless operation and functionality.
  • Procurement: Negotiate technical aspects of procurement contracts for solar farm equipment.
  • Grid Connection: Understand and comply with grid connection requirements of major Australian networks.
  • Design and Integration: Design Solar Farm DC reticulation and MV electrical systems, including protection, switchboard schematics, termination diagrams, and cable/conductor sizing.
  • SCADA Integration: Integrate Solar Farm SCADA systems to monitor and control project operations effectively.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay updated with the latest solar technologies, products, and installation methodologies.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Oversee Solar Farm operations and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in solar farm project delivery.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills, especially in technical procurement contracts for solar farm equipment.
  • Grid Connection Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of grid connection requirements for major Australian networks.
  • Design and Integration Skills: Proficiency in Solar Farm DC reticulation design and MV electrical design, including protection, switchboard schematics, and termination diagrams.
  • SCADA Integration Experience: Experience with Solar Farm SCADA integration.
  • Knowledge of Solar Technologies: Familiarity with current and future solar technologies, products, and installation methodologies.
  • Operations and Maintenance Experience: Previous experience in Solar Farm operations and maintenance is desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and willingness to travel for site visits and international assignments as required.
