About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Officer to join our team at Central Coast Council. As a key member of our Governance Section, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's compliance with legislative requirements and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to the Start Smart Program, ensuring its successful implementation and ongoing management.
  • Assist the Governance Section with reporting on governance matters, including policies, delegations, and legislative compliance registers.
  • Use your expertise to balance organizational compliance with legislative requirements, ensuring the Council's governance framework is robust and effective.
  • Support the proactive release of information in accordance with relevant legislation, including the GIPA Act, PPIP Act, and Copyright Act.
About You
  • You have a strong understanding of legislation and compliance, with experience in providing support and education on organizational governance matters.
  • You enjoy working in a legislative governing environment and are passionate about sharing your knowledge and expertise with others.
