Job Description

As a senior emergency response trainer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering training programs focused on emergency response. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our teams are equipped to handle various scenarios effectively.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in firefighting and first aid, with experience in training and people management. A proven track record of delivering high-quality training programs and assessments is essential.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of national legislation, best practices, and program implementation. They will also be well-versed in developing departmental-specific curriculum guidelines and assessment tools.

  • Design and develop emergency response training programs aligned with contractual requirements
  • Develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation and best practices
  • Support the development of assessment tools for ongoing skills and competency maintenance
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications and skills are required:

  • PUA50120 Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management)
  • PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Diploma of Vocational Education & Training desirable)
  • HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid or higher qualification
  • Valid Drivers License
