  • Lead a collaborative research program across Southern Cross University and Primary and Community Care Services, driving innovative solutions that translate research into real-world impact in healthcare.
  • Spearhead cross-disciplinary research initiatives, connecting expertise with service delivery to enhance community outcomes for patients and families.
  • Attract national and international competitive research funding, expanding research reach, and securing long-term growth.
  • Design and implement evaluation frameworks for social prescribing initiatives, fostering collaborative research projects with global partners.
  • Build strategic relationships and engage with the community and key stakeholders to elevate priorities, while creating opportunities for student research within programs.

The successful candidate will be a passionate academic leader with a business development mindset, committed to driving the success of social prescribing through strategic collaborations and fostering meaningful partnerships in health.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a research strategy that addresses broader factors influencing health.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with industry professionals, academia, and government agencies to drive innovation and impact in healthcare.
  • Secure competitive external research funding and lead multidisciplinary research teams with a focus on sustainability and impact.
  • Design and implement evaluation frameworks for social prescribing initiatives, fostering collaborative research projects with global partners.
  • Engage with the community and key stakeholders to elevate priorities, while creating opportunities for student research within programs.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a health or social sciences field, national and international recognition for exceptional research and leadership, and a proven track record of securing competitive external research funding and leading research teams.
