Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Utilities team, where you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering critical water infrastructure projects. As a Mechanical Engineer at WSP, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project management and design management for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, spanning the entire project life cycle.
- Prepare concise, high-quality technical documentation and craft compelling proposals.
- Manage designs across multiple projects or program work packages.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to exceed expectations.
About You
You are a Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated experience working on water industry projects, such as pump stations, pipelines, hydraulics, and/or treatment plants. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a natural curiosity to develop innovative solutions. You will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and be eligible and/or working towards CPEng certification.
You will have at least 5 years' experience working as a Mechanical Engineer, with proven experience in engineering consultancy or design roles. You will be proficient in water and wastewater conveyance and treatment, and have experience in hydraulic design, pump stations, and equipment selection. You will also have familiarity with stress analysis and relevant software tools.
