Workday Functional Architect

This role is a key implementation leader, providing expert guidance and delivery for functional area engagements. The successful candidate will serve as the billable functional leader on Workday implementations, working closely with Engagement Managers, Managers, functional area leads, and senior client resources.

About This Role

This position provides functional leadership on multiple, concurrent Workday functional area implementations. Responsibilities include overseeing functional area Architect Workshops and Client Confirmation Sessions, acting as a sounding board and providing ad-hoc advice, overseeing all functional areas on assigned implementations, and ensuring cohesive structures and project communications are in place for cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide functional leadership on multiple, concurrent Workday functional area implementations.
  • Oversee functional area Architect Workshops and Client Confirmation Sessions.
  • Act as a sounding board and provide ad-hoc advice for EM and leads.
  • Oversee all functional areas (Core HCM, Core and Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Performance, Recruiting and Learning) on assigned implementations, ensuring efficient and accurate design and configuration of the delivered solution.
  • Help team to understand and adhere to methodology and provide feedback to appropriate parties internally to support continuous enhancement of our tools and process.
  • Ensures cohesive structures and project communications are in place for cross-functional delivery between their area and other related areas.
Requirements
  • Current Workday Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Certified in at least two subspecialties in addition to their area.
  • Must be able to lead in each of these areas.
  • Completed 3 full lifecycle Workday Implementations.
  • Led at least 2 Workday implementations.
