Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a senior environmental scientist to lead complex projects, deliver site investigations and remediation services.

You will provide technical advice, mentor junior staff and contribute to business growth while maintaining high client satisfaction and technical quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead contaminated site assessments in accordance with relevant guidelines.
  • Design, budget and oversee sampling programs for soil, groundwater, vapour and surface water.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and regulatory documentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate field staff, subcontractors and laboratories.
  • Provide strategic advice on compliance, risk management and site closure.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships through reliable delivery and technical leadership.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, Hydrogeology or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in contaminated sites consulting or regulatory roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of contaminant behaviour, risk assessment and remediation.
  • Proven project management skills across complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Advanced technical writing and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven client-facing experience.
