Maternity Leave Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Professional to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract.
This role is ideal for someone looking to enhance their payroll career, with exposure to various software platforms (including Employment Hero), modern awards, and client processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a range of outsourced clients
- Reviewing payroll data processed by other team members to ensure accuracy and legislative compliance
- Providing timely and professional responses to client payroll queries
- Delivering strong customer service to both clients and internal stakeholders
- Assisting colleagues with interpretation of awards, agreements, and payroll legislation
About You / Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of payroll processing experience
- Experience using Employment Hero, Xero or other payroll platforms
- Confidence interpreting and applying multiple awards and agreements
- Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
