Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our capabilities in developing and refining a machine learning platform powered by AI and large language models (LLMs). As a member of the Machine Learning Platform (MLP) team, you will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to create a centralized LLM gateway. This gateway will empower product teams across Culture Amp to harness the potential of Generative AI, facilitating the development of impactful features while ensuring responsible AI usage, governance, and model evaluation.
The MLP team is instrumental in assisting product teams in building features such as in-context summarization, large-scale text summarization, bias detection, and sensitive comment identification. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
What You Will Do
- Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to best practices in machine learning engineering.
- Collaborate with fellow engineers through pair programming, solution design documentation, and constructive feedback on pull requests to foster a shared understanding of projects.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in machine learning and AI technologies, integrating them into our product offerings.
- Mentor and uplift other engineers within the team.
- Assume a technical leadership role, collaborating with leadership to define the long-term technical vision for the team.
What You Bring
- A passion for machine learning, AI (especially Generative AI), and LLMs.
- A commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
- The ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong communication skills, valuing empathy and kindness while articulating ideas clearly.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, proactively seeking resources and support as needed.
Your Qualifications
- Expertise in Python software engineering.
- Experience across various stages of the machine learning lifecycle and MLOps, including data labeling, model fine-tuning, evaluation, CI/CD, deployment, versioning, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and HuggingFace.
- An understanding of transformer architectures and LLMs.
- Experience in AI, machine learning, LLMs, and natural language processing (NLP).
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure, such as AWS and GCP.
