Your Role in Shaping the Future
We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to accelerate our development of a cutting-edge machine learning platform powered by AI and large language models (LLMs). Collaborating with Google, we utilize their Vertex AI platform to enhance our capabilities. As a member of the Machine Learning Platform (MLP) team, you will partner with data scientists and engineers to establish a centralized LLM gateway, enabling product teams to harness the power of Generative AI for impactful feature development. This gateway will ensure governance, centralized logging, safe AI usage, and effective monitoring of AI models.
The MLP team is instrumental in assisting Culture Amp's product teams in developing features such as in-context summarization, large-scale text summarization, bias detection, and sensitive comment identification. You will engage closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions.
Engineering Culture

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to best practices in machine learning engineering.
- Guide fellow engineers through pair programming, solution design, and feedback on pull requests to foster a shared understanding of projects.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in machine learning and AI technologies, integrating them into our offerings.
- Play a pivotal role in mentoring and uplifting team members.
- Assume a technical leadership role, collaborating with leadership to define the long-term technical vision for the team.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Deep passion for machine learning, AI (especially Generative AI), and LLMs.
- Strong advocate for ethical and responsible AI practices.
- Able to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proactive communicator who values empathy and is open to different perspectives.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while seeking support when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Python software engineering.
- Experience across various stages of the machine learning lifecycle and MLOps, including data labeling, model fine-tuning, evaluation, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and HuggingFace.
- Understanding of transformer architectures and LLMs.
- Experience in AI, machine learning, LLMs, and natural language processing (NLP).
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure, such as AWS and GCP.
