Leading Systems Integration Specialist

As a Systems Engineer, your work will have a profound impact on the country's most critical role – protecting our national security.
This position is located in Alice Springs and involves working onsite 100%. You will be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the integration of shared space capabilities across diverse systems, platforms, and teams. Your duties will include developing and implementing strategies for optimizing the use of shared space resources and technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and integration points, analyzing and resolving integration challenges to ensure smooth interoperability of systems and platforms, managing the design, development, and implementation of integrated solutions to enhance shared space performance, conducting risk assessments and mitigation strategies for system integrations, providing technical leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring successful integration outcomes, monitoring system performance and addressing any issues related to shared space capabilities, communicating technical findings and solutions to stakeholders at various levels of the organization, and staying current with emerging technologies and trends in systems integration and shared space capabilities.
To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, along with 7 years of related experience supporting large systems and sub-systems. Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and proven experience in systems integration, particularly in shared space or collaborative environments, are highly desirable. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of system architecture, capabilities integration, and lifecycle management, as well as expertise in analyzing, designing, and implementing complex systems and integrations.
The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in shared space or multi-platform integration, strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A familiarity with system testing, validation, and performance optimization techniques would be an asset.
