About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team in Perth. As a Technical Writer, you will support our Pre-Contracts Manager in writing technical submissions, procedure manuals, and documentation for tender bids.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and write content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.
  • Develop and edit documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.
  • Manage ECI contracts and gather information from subject-matter experts.
  • Develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
  • Manage up to 15-30% design with our in-house designers and consultants.
  • Assist in developing the tender strategy and manage deliverables with the Client.
  • Support the pre-contracts team to formulate the updated price.
  • Identify and record risks within the tender.
  • Attend tender reviews with senior management and ensure action items are recorded and closed out.
  • Ensure tender submissions meet deadlines and are in the required format.
  • Manage post-tender correspondence and respond to queries raised under the approval of the Pre-Contracts Manager.
  • Support the Pre-Contracts Manager and Commercial Manager in negotiations with Clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer in the Building & Construction Industry or within the renewables sector. You should have demonstrated experience in pricing a wide range of projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector. Extensive knowledge and experience in contract tendering procedures are essential.
