Electrical Automation Specialist

The role of Electrical Automation Specialist is key to achieving technical reliability and efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing electrical and automation standards across all sites, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.

Leadership of preventative and planned maintenance strategies is essential in ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.

Supporting the electrical and automation elements of capital projects and asset upgrades is also crucial in this role.

Advanced fault diagnosis and root cause analysis are required skills for this position, ensuring learnings are applied across the network.

Collaboration with site teams and contractors is necessary to ensure electrical work meets safety and performance expectations.

Expenditure management by monitoring contractor performance and driving alignment to technical standards is an important aspect of this role.

Contributing to the development of in-house capabilities, supporting dual-trade and electrical skills development within site teams is also a key responsibility.

This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

About You:
  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in electrical and automation engineering roles, ideally in manufacturing or recycling environments.
  • Strong understanding of Australian electrical safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with automation systems and continuous process operations.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple sites with diverse stakeholders.
