About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Real-Time Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, as well as experience working with quant trading or crypto data.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining performant, scalable backend infrastructure for real-time data processing and analysis using Golang/Rust. They will also build and optimize low-latency data pipelines that can handle large volumes of data in real-time, develop and implement algorithms and data structures for efficient data storage and retrieval, and collaborate with data scientists and traders to integrate machine learning models and trading strategies into the backend infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Infrastructure Development: Design, develop, and maintain performant, scalable backend infrastructure for real-time data processing and analysis
  • Data Pipeline Optimization: Build and optimize low-latency data pipelines that can handle large volumes of data in real-time
  • Data Storage and Retrieval: Develop and implement algorithms and data structures for efficient data storage and retrieval
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists and traders to integrate machine learning models and trading strategies into the backend infrastructure
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze system performance to identify potential issues and optimize overall performance
  • Troubleshooting: Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Documentation: Contribute to the development of technical documentation and training materials
