Join a pioneering mining operation and become part of an innovative cable handling team. As a Cable Handling Operator, you will be working on a 7/7 roster, operating CAT 988 loaders with specialist cable reeling attachments and other ancillary support fleet.

Job Responsibilities
  • Cable equipment, trucks, loaders, and support equipment are operated to ensure safe and efficient delivery of enabling equipment for the Electrical Excavator to achieve production targets.
  • Cable run designs are interpreted and executed, and mine planning cable locations from pit crest transformers to the Excavator switch and Excavator are coordinated with the dewatering high voltage electrical team for switching requirements.
  • Signage, delineation, protective arches, and road covers are installed as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years operational background in ancillary fleet with experience in Excavators, Loaders, and Dewatering is required.
  • Critical path work and quality risk assessments can be undertaken in small teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations WHS 2022 is necessary.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, communication, and logistics skills are essential.
  • Proficient users of Microsoft Office with working experience of SAP, BMS, and SuccessFactors are required.
