Our team is looking for a supportive and organized individual to fill the role of Education Support Class. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students and providing them with the best possible educational experience.

The primary function of this position is to provide routine support to teachers, including assisting with planning of student routines, supporting communication between teachers and parents, and communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teachers in planning and implementing educational programs
  • Providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting
  • Communicating with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information
  • Addressing immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure
  • Supporting teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision, including rostering and organizing the work of a team of aides

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR

Working Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00-3:30 pm
