The Nursing Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing, guiding and coordinating the nursing team to ensure smooth patient care processes.
- Lead and manage the nursing team at ward or unit level.
- Monitor and optimize business functions and processes of the ward or unit.
- Demonstrate broad nursing/midwifery experience and knowledge.
- Develop effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes open communication and teamwork.
- Current nursing/midwifery registration with AHPRA.
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing and/or health management with minimum three years post graduate experience.
