Job Description:

The Project Coordinator Specialist plays a vital role in the execution of infrastructure projects. As part of a global team, this professional works on high-profile projects using continuous improvement methodologies and innovative technologies.

About the Project:

A critical infrastructure project with significant public impact is underway. The goal is to remove the most dangerous and congested level crossings in the Southern region.

The Opportunity:

Within the project alliance, the site engineer team provides technical support and engineering expertise for the effective execution of design. They collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report project progress, including cost, time, scope, and quality metrics.
  • Develop and implement engineering and management plans to achieve project objectives.
  • Prepare work procedures, inspection and test plans, safe work methods, SWMS, construction procedures, and site access plans.
  • Track costs, establish productivity measures, and assist with procurement and purchase orders.
  • Ensure site staff induction, sub-contractor attendance, and record traceability of materials, work lots, and completed works.
  • Manage daily works activities according to permits, approvals, design drawings, specifications, and work management plans.
  • Prepare work packages and send them out for pricing; develop a plan for building a scope of works.
  • Monitor project milestones against goals and take necessary action; identify and escalate variances from project plans.
  • Aware of risks and act accordingly; use resources responsibly; arrange for material delivery to meet site requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a project-based engineer in the construction industry, with a focus on rail and associated civil infrastructure.
  • Current driver's license and reliable vehicle.
