About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skilled Fabricator to join our team at Energy Queensland. As a key member of our Substations group, you will be responsible for the fabrication and maintenance of workshop plant and equipment, as well as assisting in the construction of modular buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality fabrication and maintenance work on workshop plant and equipment
  • Assist in the construction of modular buildings
  • Work collaboratively with a multiskilled team to achieve safety, quality, and job satisfaction targets
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strive for excellence in all aspects of work
Requirements
  • Qualification in a recognized Metal Worker Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal Worker or Boilermaker) with demonstrated ability in Alum, stainless, and steel welding
  • General knowledge of construction processes to assist in the construction of modular buildings
  • Relevant industry experience in the operation, installation, repair, and maintenance of plant, machinery, and equipment
  • Ability to operate within Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) requirements for quality, safety, and risk assessment compliance
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships in a team environment and are a strong team player
