About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced VE Teacher to join our team at RMIT University. As a VE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver course material and assess students in selected courses
  • Supervise students enrolled in selected courses
  • Participate in the School's continuing reviews of course content and development
  • Develop and deliver teaching methods, including online delivery methods
  • Assess students and ensure their vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments
  • Skills and experience in competency-based assessment and ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed
  • Experience in relevant industry and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position
  • Relevant qualifications, including Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (enrolled or finished) and relevant trades qualifications & licenses
  • The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions
