About the Role

Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a skilled Vocational Education Teacher to join our Trades & Engineering Technologies team. As a casual teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training programs to our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement industry best practice and apply current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team of education professionals to plan, deliver, assess, evaluate, and ensure compliance of high-quality education and training programs.
  • Customize and adapt programs to meet learners' and clients' needs, varying from certificate to diploma and associate degree levels.

Requirements

  • Vocational experience relevant to the nominated teaching programs.
  • Demonstrated excellence or capacity to implement high-quality approaches in teaching and assessment, using a variety of learning modes, which respond to diverse student learning needs.
  • Demonstrated experience or capacity to develop learning and assessment resources.
  • Understanding of current VET policy and developments and innovative approaches to vocational education and training.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor).
  • Vocational qualification in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Fabrication) applicable to Vocational Education programs.
