Position Overview

Catholic Education Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Principal to join our team. As a key member of the school leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of educational programs that align with the Catholic Education Western Australia vision and values.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to improve student outcomes and achieve academic excellence.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers in their professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community.
Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of teaching and leadership experience in a Catholic school setting.
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and be accredited to lead in a Catholic school.
  • Be an active member of the Catholic Church and provide a Parish Priest reference.
  • Have a minimum of seven years' experience in education and a strong understanding of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Be able to analyze and use student data to inform teaching and learning practices.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Knowledge of Special Needs and experience in implementing inclusive education practices.
  • Accreditation to Lead in Religious Education and experience in coordinating Sacramental Programs.
