Position Overview

Catholic Education Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Principal to join our team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational direction of our school and contributing to the growth and development of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the school's curriculum and instructional programs, ensuring alignment with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and the Australian Teacher Performance and Development Framework;

Collaborate with the Principal and other leaders to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and strategies to improve student outcomes and teacher effectiveness;

Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff to enhance their professional practice and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture;

Develop and maintain relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community to foster a sense of belonging and partnership;

Analyze and interpret student data to inform teaching and learning practices and drive school improvement;

Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in education, incorporating this knowledge into school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities;

Requirements

Accreditation to Lead, or working towards this requirement;

An active member of the Catholic Church (Parish Priest reference required);

Relevant four-year tertiary qualification;

Minimum of seven years education experience;

Current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA);
