We are seeking an accomplished and experienced nurse to join our Special Care Nursery team. As a key member of the unit, you will deliver high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
About the Role:This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and skilled nurse to make a meaningful contribution to the care and well-being of patients in our Special Care Nursery.
Responsibilities:- Provide quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient and newborn care.
- Maintain high-quality nursing care within a safe environment according to the individual's experience and education.
- Develop effective communication strategies that promote collaboration between healthcare professionals and patients/families.
- Work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding care provision.
- When required, work on other wards in the hospital.
- A current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Neonatal nursing level 2 nursery.
- The ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery.
- A Working with Children check (if relevant).
- A commitment to delivering quality patient care.
- Compliance with ACQSHC national standards.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards).
