Role Summary

Job Description:

The Laundry Attendant is a pivotal role within the hotel, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of commercial washer/dryer equipment and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.

  • Previous experience in commercial laundry, preferably in a hotel or similar environment, is highly regarded.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles and practices is required.

In line with legislation, successful candidates will need to hold or be willing to obtain a blue card.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate commercial washer/dryer equipment efficiently and safely.
  2. Organize and distribute linen internally and externally according to requirements.
  3. Manage and coordinate boarders' uniform laundering, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  4. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
  5. Follow established cleaning procedures at all times.
Person Specification
  • Commercial laundry experience, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently, as required.
  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and reliability.
