Job Title: Secondary Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Power Utilities team in Sydney. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work on projects that shape the way we evolve, adapt, and transform industries.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years' experience in design, integration, and coordination of electrical systems and services for high voltage power systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and conducting professional engineering work on relevant aspects of EHV/HV Secondary Systems Strategic Planning and Conceptual Design.
  • Providing detail design services on specialist engineering areas such as protection detailed design, primary plant and secondary systems equipment specification and procurement, grid metering, power quality, and high-speed monitoring installations.
  • Checking design work for technical accuracy and adequacy.
  • Providing technical support to business development, tendering, and operations as required.
  • Assisting with site commissioning.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with:

  • An electrical engineering degree.
  • At least 3 years' experience in design, integration, and coordination of electrical systems and services for high voltage power systems.
  • Strong computer skills and industry experience in relevant Power System Protection and Automation software packages/equipment suppliers and products.
