We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Australia. As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of electrical systems for our Offshore Patrol Vessel and Hydrographic Capability projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct systems analysis to derive function, performance, and interface requirements to meet electrical safety parameters.
- Engage with System Design activities (including trade studies) to ensure that the electrical design artefacts are compatible with the baselined product.
- Perform technical risk analysis as required in your work as the electrical engineer to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments, and risk mitigation actions.
- Ensure assigned electrical systems/sub-systems are developed and implemented according to appropriate standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure Raytheon's reputation as a trusted partner in delivering systems integration and mission support solutions to our customers.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant electrical engineering discipline.
- Experience in an engineering discipline, including involvement in one or more of the following engineering practices - Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design, and Verification and Validation.
- Experience in effectively representing engineering professional services to both internal and external customers.
- Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience (when a university degree is held).
- Advanced knowledge of electrical design.
- Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
- Experience in electrical design and design changes.
- Experience in product configuration control.
- Experience in military standard electrical component/subsystem selection and procurement.
- Familiarity with AS3000 Wiring Rules.
