Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in providing expert clinical leadership in kidney transplantation.

\

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of our service.

\

The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with chronic kidney disease, haemodialysis and kidney transplant options.

Required Skills and Qualifications

\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary degree qualification and current registration as a Registered Nurse.\
  • A postgraduate qualification or currently enrolled in a postgraduate program in a relevant area of study (highly desirable).\
  • A Class C Motor Vehicle Licence.\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.\
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and medical software.\\
  • High level of proficiency in English language.\\
  • Postgraduate certificate in Nephrology highly recommended\\
  • Diploma in Paediatric and adult critical care - preferred.\\
  • Leadership training Certificate –an asset.\\
  • Bachelor’s degree (Graduate Diploma) of Clinical Nursing, Or equivalent experience.\\
  • Experience in treating patients with end-stage renal disease.\\
  • Mentoring/ teaching at graduate and undergraduate level; developing & implementing policies & procedures; improving performance through effective Quality improvement initiatives.\\
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.\\
  • Effective presentation, education and research skills.\\
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.\\
  • Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.\\
  • Up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines and best practices in nephrology care.\\
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and achieving desired outcomes.\\
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.\\
  • Previous experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.\\
  • Prior experience in quality assurance.\\
  • Emergency response protocols understanding.\\
  • Capable of applying theoretical knowledge in practical situations.\\
  • Lead change management efforts that lead to sustainable results.\\
  • Holding various recognitions / Awards of excellence.\\
  • Teaching certificate must have been awarded within 5 years ago.\\
  • GCP/GPP awareness.\\
  • Relevant qualifications & Continuing Professional Development in relation to specialty.\\
  • Other job specific requirements –provided by hiring manager upon interview.\\
  • Newcomers should pass the required tests during their probationary period.\\
  • Pre-employment screening including Criminal History checks.\\
  • Evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.\\
