High Level Treasury Operations Manager

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking an experienced High Level Treasury Operations Manager to lead the small Treasury Operations team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing back-office administration, processing, settlement, reporting and supporting services to the Treasury Department.
About the RoleAs a key member of the Anton Murray Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to work with a leading Australian financial institution firm. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the Treasury Administration team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe position will be responsible for:
- Handling of ISDA and Swaps Agreements.
- Checking and signing documentation relating to all funding facilities and financial instruments following negotiations.
- Preparing monthly reports on borrowings (Swaps, ECP, EMTN, Break Date, M-T-M Revaluation etc).
- Reviewing and preparing daily cashflow forecasts for Treasury and Reserve accounts, checking and authorising daily transactions, confirmation and settlement letters against Daily Deal Worksheets and system entries.
- Responsibility for the administration of remitting and receiving funds in relation to all funding related activities and investment.
- Checking and preparing payments for settlement of all Treasury transactions, ensuring all payments are made on a timely basis.
- Monitoring incoming funds for receipt of outstanding loan repayment and various fees.
- Liaising with local and offshore counterparties and Agencies regarding settlement of transactions and investigating and following up outstanding payments and confirmations.
- Assisting in implementing internal controls, reviewing and maintaining the procedure manual in line with operation and system changes.
- Supervising Treasury Administration team members, setting goals for achievement and further development.
- Providing effective leadership of Treasury Administration including performance management, internal team communication and activity prioritisation, resource management, coaching and mentoring.
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:
- A minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Economics or equivalent.
- Ability to lead, coach and develop direct reports.
- Extensive knowledge and ideally 4-10 years of experience in financial institutions, especially in the Treasury middle and back-office area.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment and take accountability.
- Ability to use computer systems to enhance work productivity, with expertise in the use of spreadsheets and databases.
The salary for this position is estimated to be $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
