This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in supporting individuals experiencing sudden career changes or circumstances. As a Rehabilitation Consultant-Psychologist or Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will play a vital part in delivering assessments and counselling services that make a real difference in people's lives.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to conduct thorough assessments to guide clients towards their new career path. They will collaborate with health professionals, specialists, employers, insurers, and other stakeholders to drive positive outcomes for clients.

This role involves identifying Return to Work (RTW) barriers and designing, implementing, and monitoring programs to assist injured employees in returning to the workforce. You will visit workplaces to understand the challenges faced by injured and ill workers and educate employers on the health benefits of good work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessments and counselling services to individuals with sudden career changes or circumstances
  • Conduct thorough assessments to guide clients towards their new career path
  • Collaborate with health professionals, specialists, employers, insurers, and other stakeholders to drive positive outcomes for clients
  • Identify RTW barriers and design, implement, and monitor programs to assist injured employees in returning to the workforce
  • Visit workplaces to understand challenges faced by injured and ill workers and educate employers on good work practices

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology (5th year-Masters Degree completed for Psychology applicants)

Registration with AHPRA or ASORC

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to navigate complex rehabilitation plans and provide innovative solutions
