
Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team in the modernisation of Australia's critical air defence infrastructure. This project will re-shape RAAF's air traffic control capabilities into the future.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation that supports the successful implementation and ongoing operation of system upgrades across multiple RAAF sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and maintenance of technical publications and ILS documentation
- Create and update training materials, operational procedures, and maintenance workflows
- Collaborate with technical teams to document system modifications, integration approaches, and operational procedures
- Support security certification and accreditation processes through precise documentation
- Maintain configuration management documentation and coordinate with stakeholders to validate technical content
Required Skills and Qualifications
- University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Technical Writing
- Demonstrated experience in technical documentation for complex systems integration projects
- Strong understanding of ILS principles and documentation requirements
- Experience working within structured documentation frameworks and configuration management systems
- Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation
