Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Part Time Sales Assistant who is passionate about making a difference. As a sales assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and providing an exceptional in-store experience for our team, customers, and community members.

You will assist with:

  • Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices;
  • Collecting, sorting, and pricing donations in store;
  • Assisting in the development and coordination of visual merchandising and store presentation;
  • Providing exceptional customer service;
  • Displaying stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure;
  • FOLLOWING Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures;
  • Demonstrating TSA core values in all work-related activities.

The ideal candidate will have previous retail sales experience, but it's not essential. What's crucial is your passion and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a complex and rewarding retail environment.

You will be a high-energy, hands-on individual who brings your proven track record in providing extraordinary customer service to the role. Importantly, as someone known for your integrity, you will also be comfortable aligning with The Salvation Army Mission and Values to positively support and impact the lives of others through your career contribution.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be flexible to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.

You will be an outstanding written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Solid technical skills are highly regarded.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is AU$60,000 per annum, based on 20 hours per week.
