Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Aboriginal Workforce Inclusion Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance Aboriginal employment and inclusion within the department. Your focus will be on attracting, retaining, training, and advancing Aboriginal talent, while also developing and leading programs to promote understanding of Aboriginal peoples, culture, history, and knowledge.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and society, as well as the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal peoples in Western Australia. They will also have knowledge and understanding of issues impacting on the employment, retention, and development of Aboriginal employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance Aboriginal employment and inclusion
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative programs to promote understanding of Aboriginal peoples, culture, history, and knowledge
- Build strong relationships with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Aboriginal Outcomes Task Team
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and society
- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal peoples in Western Australia
- Knowledge and understanding of issues impacting on the employment, retention, and development of Aboriginal employees
