Post Graduate Fellow General Surgery Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Post Graduate Fellow in General Surgery to join our team at Lismore Base Hospital. As a member of our surgical department, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in a fast-paced clinical environment.

About the Role
  • Provide comprehensive care, management and co-ordination of patients in the care of the Surgical Department – General Surgery under the supervision and guidance of the Consultant ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with General Practitioners and other external stakeholders to ensure continuity of patient care in both primary and acute care settings through excellent communication.
Requirements
  • Hold MBBS or equivalent, current registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Possess postgraduate qualification in General Surgery FRACS.
  • Demonstrate interest in rural/regional General Surgery.
  • Show ability to work with independence within supervised, complex clinical environment.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and computer skills, with demonstrated good organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as a professional attitude and flexibility.
