Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to join our medical team.

The successful candidate will provide primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence policies and procedures.

  1. Deliver high-quality medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence policies and procedures.

  2. Be part of a multidisciplinary team working towards the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members.

  3. Assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide care that supports the health and wellbeing of members pre and post deployments.

  4. Provide medical technical advice to senior officers and commanders.

You'll work closely with a team of experienced medical professionals to provide quality medical services.

Requirements:

  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration.

  • Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).

  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.

  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.

Please note that you must be an Australian citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
