Job Title: Infrastructure Manager

Job Description:

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Structures and Stormwater Team within the Community Infrastructure Division.

As an experienced manager, you will lead by example, demonstrating expertise in infrastructure management and ensuring that team members receive adequate training and support to perform their duties effectively.

You will work closely with the Coordinator to develop and implement plans, strategies, and policies to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Maintaining stormwater and concrete structures across the Council's road network.
  2. Scope and coordinate work with contractors, ensuring all work adheres to construction standards and environmental policies.
  3. Plan appropriate resourcing of plant, equipment, contractors and labour for each project.
  4. Participate in after-hours on-call roster and monitor, report, and manage incidents, hazards, and injuries following Council procedures.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A proven track record in infrastructure management and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of plant and equipment used in formwork, concreting, road construction and pipe laying.
  • The ability to operate various hand and power tools.
  • Working knowledge of employee obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, along with computer literacy and numeracy.
