Job Title: Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Disability Support Specialist to provide tailored support to an NDIS participant with ADHD who has a strong interest in 3D printing, robotics and technology.

About the Role:
  • Assist with daily living activities (household organisation, personal tasks) and promote independence.
  • Support attendance at medical and other essential appointments, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Help the participant develop pathways in 3D printing/robotics, including exploring courses, workshops or training opportunities.
  • Foster skills in time management, task planning and focus support tailored to ADHD needs.
  • Encourage and supervise safe and purposeful use of technology (3D printers, basic robotics kits etc.).
  • Promote social and community participation where relevant, enhancing overall well-being.
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience in disability support, youth work or mental health support preferred (NDIS experience desirable but not essential).
  • A strong interest in 3D printing, robotics, engineering or technology (students in related fields encouraged to apply).
  • Understanding or lived experience with ADHD or neurodivergence support highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience and motivation to mentor and build skills.
  • Ability to encourage education or vocational pathways TAFE courses, workshops, online learning etc.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check valid Driver's Licence First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain).
