About the Role

The Licensed Electrical Assessment Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to candidates sitting assessments. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct the Licensed Electrical Assessment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure candidates are monitored and supported throughout the assessment process.
  • Adhere to Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) and Melbourne Polytechnic (MP) compliance requirements.
  • Set up assessment rooms and verify candidate identity and eligibility to sit the assessment.
  • Distribute and collect completed assessment papers.
Requirements
  • A current A Grade Electrical License.
  • A current Working with Children Check Card (Employee).
  • A minimum of Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and recent industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and quietly within an assessment environment.
  • Experience as an Electrical Installation Inspector is desirable.
  • A basic understanding and awareness of influences and situations that may cause candidates concern and stress while completing an assessment.
  • An understanding of Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) assessment guidelines.
  • Knowledge of current issues in higher education and vocational education and training, particularly as they relate to the areas taught within the school (desirable).
