Part-Time Bus Driver Role">

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Bus Driver to join our team in Ipswich.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with the bus equipment (e.g. mobility aids) and resident shopping, ensuring timely departures and returns.
  • Demonstrate expertise in folding and unfolding mobility aids, guaranteeing efficient use of time.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by accompanying residents during outings, allowing staff to focus on other needs.
  • Engage with residents, fostering meaningful interactions and encouraging participation in activities.
  • Aid residents with simple mobilization, including pushing residents in wheelchairs where trained to do so.
  • Share information about residents' experiences and topics discussed with the Activities Officer/Lifestyle Coordinator at the end of each shift.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, providing timely services to residents/clients and internal customers while maintaining road and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Possess a MR class license for driving buses with 22 passenger capacity or less.
  • Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices is advantageous.
  • Hold a valid Police Check within the last 3 years and an NDIS Worker Check within the last 5 years.
  • Supply Covid vaccination evidence in line with current requirements and proof of recent Flu vaccinations.
