Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team in the City of Cockburn.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Construction, Utilities, or the Energy Sector to work on a range of activities associated with the gas distribution network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking faults and emergency response activities, residential and commercial meter changes, reconnects/disconnects, leak detection, and maintenance and meter compliance associated with the gas distribution network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake Faults and Emergency Response activities, Residential and Commercial meter changes, Reconnects/ Disconnects, Leak Detection, including (maintenance and meter compliance) associated with the Gas Distribution Network.
  • Operate machinery, equipment and tools in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with customers and other stakeholders to ensure that any disruption to supply or any work that impacts customers are fully communicated and, where possible, minimised.
  • Participate in the 24/7 On Call Roster at nominated intervals throughout the business cycle.
  • Undertake safe work practices and requirements to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and foster relationships with other networks and alliances with relevant contractors, stakeholders and customers.
Requirements
  • A current Class G Gas fitting licence and a current C class driver's licence.
  • Experience and knowledge of installation and maintenance of Gas appliances.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with members of the general public, contractors and the community.
