We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our team in Cape York, providing support and care services for children and families.
About the Role- As Team Lead, you will oversee the intake, assessment, and care planning processes, ensuring culturally safe and trauma-informed practices.
- You will supervise and mentor support workers and practitioners, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaboration with families, carers, and external stakeholders is essential to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with child protection legislation.
- A strong understanding of child development and trauma-informed care is crucial for this role.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the service, identifying opportunities to enhance outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities- Provide practice oversight, mentoring, and operational leadership to the team.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, inclusive, and effective services that meet the needs of children and families.
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in child protection or youth/family services, including leadership roles.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential for success in this position.
- A current driver's licence and ability to acquire a National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) are required.
