Job Title: Director of Real Estate
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as Director of Real Estate at Minor Hotels. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and strategic direction of our Real Estate operations across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the MINT Residential team, including Build to Rent, Permanent Rentals, and Property Sales departments, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
- Develop tailored strategies to enhance the performance and profitability of the Real Estate department, identifying areas for improvement and providing guidance and support to improve performance.
- Monitor sales, leasing, and property management trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, framework, processes, and personnel, designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the organisation.
- Negotiate and execute property agreements, ensuring compliance with contract terms, operational best practices, and relevant state legislation.
- Oversee compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the property department, including licensing requirements, trust accounting laws, and ensuring the correct forms are utilised.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with all areas within the business, ensuring all key stakeholders are kept informed of key developments.
Requirements:
- Current Real Estate Certificate of Registration/Full Licence in at least one Australian state, with the ability to obtain mutual recognition in other states.
- Extensive expertise in real estate sales procedures and property management, supported by a minimum of 8-10 years of industry experience.
- Strong understanding of real estate legislation, regulatory compliance, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective planning, organisational skills, and problem-solving skills to manage pressure situations, multiple tasks, and ability to work with a sense of urgency.
