We are seeking a Provisional Psych, Registered Psych or Counsellor to join our team in Adelaide. The successful candidate will work with Australians living with disability, injury, health condition or those who require additional support. This is a permanent opportunity for an Allied Health Professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
As an Allied Health Professional, you will have diverse roles and opportunities to assist job seekers who face complex barriers to employment by conducting assessments, undertaking therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and providing recommendations to vocational and non-vocational services.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with disabilities and barriers to employment;
- Offer tailored counselling interventions using various psychological methodologies;
- Refer candidates to external support services to address barriers effectively;
- Evaluate assessments and monitor case progress closely;
- Coordinate with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates as needed;
- Provide training and guidance to staff on psychological services and procedures.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology with eligibility for registration with APHRA;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Counselling, or eligibility for membership with ACA / PACFA;
- Experience in employment services is highly regarded but not essential;
- Knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention strategies is crucial;
- Exceptional communication and rapport-building skills are required;
- Ability to produce accurate and articulate case reports;
- Ability to work towards positive client outcomes;
- Ability to provide a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and a Working with Children Check.
