Job Description

This full-time position involves teaching, research, and administration at the university's Canberra campus. You will contribute to course development, delivery, and supervision, as well as quality assurance, industry engagement, and student support.

The role reports to the Head of School and requires collaboration with colleagues to maintain a high-quality learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in cyber security and related areas
  • Contribute to course development and program design
  • Engage with industry and professional bodies
  • Participate in work-integrated learning and student support
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this position, we are seeking academics with strong technical expertise in cyber security and computer science. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A PhD in a related discipline
  • Relevant work experience
  • A strong track record of research and publication or competitive research income
  • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity
  • Teaching and learning design experience
  • Experience with educational technologies and flexible delivery
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds

Senior Lecturers (Level C) will also require:

  • Course and program development
  • Research output
  • Research grant successes
  • Postgraduate supervision
  • Academic administration and staff mentoring
