Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HC Driver to join our team in Cairns. As a key member of our Intermodal business unit, you will be responsible for safely delivering various products from our Linfox rail operations to customers locally within Cairns and some regional areas.

About the Role

This is a casual opportunity working Monday to Friday, starting from 7:00am and finishing at 3:00pm. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Driving commitment to Linfox Safety Standards at all times, ensuring Vision Zero is a daily focus.
  • Complying with the Linfox coupling and uncoupling procedure, as well as working unsupervised.
  • Assisting in loading and unloading when required.
  • Maintaining good knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation.
  • Communicating effectively with team members, managers, and customers on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current and valid HC license, with a history of safe work practices.
  • Familiarity with the Cairns metro area and surrounding regions.
  • The flexibility to work across weekdays and some weekends.
  • A proactive approach and positive attitude.
