About the Role:


As a seasoned Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality goods to our valued customers across the Cairns and Far North Queensland region. Your expertise in safe and efficient transportation will be essential in maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure all company vehicles are kept in a safe, well-maintained, clean, and tidy condition at all times.
  • Load Security: Verify that all items on the back of trucks and trailers are securely fastened before each journey.
  • Hygiene and Sanitation: Adhere to good hygiene and sanitation practices at all times.
  • Paperwork and Check Sheets: Complete all necessary paperwork and check sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Branch Housekeeping: Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment at the branch.
  • Safe Work Practices: Demonstrate and uphold a commitment to safe work practices, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Driver Diary and Supporting Documents: Maintain accurate records of driver diaries and supporting documentation in accordance with State and Federal Regulations.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery instructions and any issues that may arise.
  • Site Requirements: Comply with site-specific requirements regarding mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), sign-in procedures, and other processes and procedures.
  • Other Reasonable Duties: Perform any other reasonable duties as required to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.


About You:



To succeed in this position, you will need to possess:




  • A current manual drivers' license with a clean driving record.
  • A construction white card.
  • Prior experience in truck driving.
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety practices, including safe manual handling and lifting heavy loads.
  • Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
