
Railway Terminal Operations Specialist

As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth movement of trains within the yard precinct. Your primary responsibilities will include driving locomotives, coordinating train activities, and operating forklifts to support the operation.
You will be required to operate the locomotive and complete shunting activities within the yard while adhering to all safe working principles and procedures. This includes processing freight, operating documentation into a computerised system, undertaking train examinations, and brake testing activities, all strictly following safe-working and operating procedures.
24/7 shift work is an essential requirement of this role.
To be successful in this position, you must be a responsible and accountable individual who can efficiently and safely undertake all locomotive, forklift, and shunting activities.
- Relevant locomotive and shunt driver qualifications are essential.
- A heavy forklift licence is also required.
- CV High Risk Licence and Full Driver's licence are necessary for the role.
- General computer proficiency is expected.
- Experience in train inspection, ground shunt, and trackside safety is preferred.
- Shunt driver qualifications are also desirable.
- Previous experience in logistics, transport, or the rail industry is advantageous.
