Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to join our team at Amazon. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineering technicians and maintaining a focus on safety by training, developing, and coaching their team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Support the Maintenance Team: Ensure site operations are maintained in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the Wider Network: Harness technical expertise and build solutions to improve equipment availability.
- Implement Safety and Compliance Programs: Work with the Site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement, record, and audit safety and statutory compliance programs.
- Focus on Preventative Maintenance: Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to internal customers.
- Ensure Technical Coverage: Organize and direct the training program for the team to ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for shifts.
- Manage Local and Australia-Wide Projects: Manage local projects or support Australia-wide projects as assigned by the manager.
- Be Prepared to Work on Shift: Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.
You'll be based at one of our operational sites, giving you the opportunity to provide practical guidance to your team and gain a clear vision of what's happening at your site. This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. You'll also have the chance to create an operational plan to make the site more productive and efficient, including setting up new projects that improve operational processes and equipment maintenance.
Requirements- Technical Degree: A degree in a technical discipline.
- Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team and relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment.
- Liaising and Managing Relationships: Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between various stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
- Automated Equipment Experience: Experience of automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Statutory Regulations Experience: Experience of working with statutory regulations, such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols.
- Data Analysis Tools Experience: Experience of using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
- Project Management Experience: Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes.
- CMMS Experience: Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
