About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a key member of our distribution centre operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the preventative maintenance program, developing solutions to improve reliability and system performance, and collaborating with automation equipment suppliers and residential services teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the high performance and availability of automation equipment, minimizing unplanned downtime
  • Identify system losses through observations and design improvements to increase system reliability
  • Provide guidance on Industry Best Practices to residential service teams on all areas of Reliability Engineering
  • Collaborate with automation equipment suppliers, residential services teams, and operation planning teams
  • Produce reliability insights using large datasets to drive positive change in asset health and availability
Requirements
  • Experience with continuous improvement in manufacturing, distribution, or FMCG
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels of the organisation and with suppliers
  • Prior experience with automation within warehousing or FMCG environments
  • Experience in tactical and operational planning in a complex environment preferred
  • Ideally, experience with electronics design, prototyping parts, and software development for integrated circuits
  • PLC Programming experience is advantageous in this role
  • Preferred experience in 3D design of components and drafting for manufacture
