Leading Hydrogeologist

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team as a hydrogeologist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for playing an active role in the business leadership, supporting business development through client meetings, capability statements, and marketing materials.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrogeology and groundwater modelling, with experience in project management and client management. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate complex issues concisely.

• Responsibilities:
• Play an active role in the business leadership
• Support business development through client meetings, capability statements, and marketing materials
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Strategic Water Services Practice
• Co-ordinate delivery of proposals and projects
• Lead, review, and approve technical deliverables related to the hydrogeology discipline
• Provide technical support to across disciplines including water services, environment and planning and contaminated land
• Train and mentor staff to promote technical excellence

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution in hydrogeology/water resources/environmental science/engineering related discipline or similar relevant degree
• A minimum of 14 years' experience in an environmental consulting role, preferably operating in Australia
• Proven experience in project management and client management
• Proven experience in engaging with clients in the Australian mining and resources sector
• Proven experience in delivering projects for the Australian mining and resources sector
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate complex issues concisely
• Strong technical report writing skills
• In-depth knowledge of hydrogeology and groundwater modelling (conceptual, analytical, and numerical)
• Robust experience with water balance modelling (Goldsim)
• In-depth knowledge of environmental management principles, policies (State and Federal), and issues related to mining, oil and gas, groundwater management, impact assessment, and water sustainability
• Proven leadership skills and a desire to train, guide and mentor less experienced employees
